A modern view of mental health support
Dedicated to helping parents overcome family challenges
Dr. Kristin Edwards is a Licensed Psychologist in Tampa, Florida who draws on best practices and science-based approaches to provide families with practical solutions to behavioral and attention-related issues at home and school.
Science-based support that you can trust.
The last thing you have time for is to sort through the sea of conflicting parenting advice for explanations and solutions to your child’s behavioral problems. Dr. Edwards uses her experience as an early childhood educator and child psychologist to lay out the information parents actually need to make informed decisions and create meaningful change. Whether you are choosing to work with Dr. Edwards one-on-one or in a small group, you can always expect high-quality practical support that focuses on your family’s needs as a whole.
A collaborative approach to assessment
Get answers to the root of your problems in a productive way.
Dr. Edwards has a collaborative and therapeutic approach to assessment, with a focus on gathering only the most relevant data while emphasizing client strengths to determine the most effective supports for each client. Regardless of diagnosis, Dr. Edwards’ goal for assessment is not to figure out your child’s “label”, but to gain a holistic snapshot of your child’s current struggles so she can then make recommendations that are relevant to your specific needs. Dr. Edwards believes mental health evaluations should be productive in that you leave with more information on what to do about the problem than when you came.
