We offer a range of evaluations to help you pinpoint problem areas, obtain peace of mind in knowing how. you or your child’s symptoms compare to others the same age, and to assist you in identifying the most appropriate treatment options for your specific needs. We evaluate children and adults all ages.

The intake assessment is the first step in almost all of our services. It consists of a 60 minute clinical interview by video to gather extensive background information on you or your child’s life and symptoms. The purpose of the intake is for us to get a clear picture of the current problem areas so we can help you determine the next steps for evaluation or treatment.
Intakes are offered as a stand-alone service to allow the flexibility of designing a mental health plan that fits your specific needs. We have found that many individuals presenting for full neuropsychological evaluations are often in need of something else. Knowing how to help yourself or your child can be confusing and overwhelming given the abundance of advice and opinion on the internet. Psychoeducational evaluations can provide clear answers about your child’s functioning, and why they may fall behind on certain academic tasks. The purpose of these evaluations is to identify an individual’s strengths and weaknesses, and to establish whether there is a neurodevelopmental condition (such as a learning disorder or ADHD) interfering with academic functioning. Results are useful in the decision-making and creation of IEPs and 504 accommodation plans, as well as accommodations for students who have difficulty with board exams (i.e., SAT/ACT, GRE, LSAT, etc.). If you or your child has a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis with substantial impairment on daily functioning, you may be eligible to apply for accommodations on college-entrance achievement tests such as the SAT/ACT, college admissions tests (GRE/MCAT/LSAT), and professional board exams (FL BAR/USMLE). Screenings

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD) screenings are held by video appointment and typically last 60 minutes. We will start with an in-depth clinical interview to hear more about your concerns and problem history. We then use standardized behavior and attention rating scales designed to identify symptoms of ADHD and executive functioning deficits.
If the data collected clearly supports ADHD, a diagnosis will be made. Additional assessment is sometimes warranted if results are ambiguous or inconclusive. For example, learning and processing concerns are sometimes significant enough to warrant the rule-out of learning disorders prior to being able to make an ADHD diagnosis.
You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations. Screening results can potentially be used to obtain 504 accommodations and other supports at school. If you would like to pursue a full psychoeducational evaluation following the screening, the fee paid for the screening will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the screening). You will only be charged the difference.

Autism (ASD) screenings are held by video appointment and typically last 60 minutes. We will start with an in-depth clinical interview to hear more about your concerns and problem history. We then use standardized autism and behavior rating scales designed to identify symptoms of autism spectrum disorder. Behavior observations will be made for younger children.
If the data collected clearly supports autism, a diagnosis will be made. Additional assessment is sometimes warranted if results are ambiguous or inconclusive. For example, cognitive and language concerns are sometimes significant enough to warrant the rule-out of intellectual and language disabilities prior to being able to make an autism diagnosis.
You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations. Screening results can potentially be used to obtain IEP or 504 accommodations at school. If you would like to pursue a full psychological evaluation following the screening, the fee paid for the screening will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the screening). You will only be charged the difference.

Developmental screenings are 60 minutes by video telehealth. The purpose is early detection of developmental delays and to provide families with recommendations for intervention and school placement if needed. This also includes early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our developmental screenings are for children ages 2 to 5 years.
We will start with an in-depth clinical interview to hear more about your child’s development and any areas of concern. We then use standardized developmental rating scales designed to identify delays in fine and gross motor functioning, speech/language skills, processing/cognitive abilities, pre-academic and early academic skills, and social, behavioral and emotional functioning.
Additional assessment is sometimes warranted if results are ambiguous or inconclusive. For example, a full psychological evaluation may be recommended if enough symptoms of autism are present during the screening.
You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations. If you would like to pursue a full psychological evaluation following the screening, the fee paid for the screening will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the screening). You will only be charged the difference.
Diagnostic Assessment

Our clinical diagnostic assessments include potential markers for anxiety-spectrum disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive (OCD) disorder. During a 60-minute video appointment, we will conduct a clinical interview to gain more information on your symptoms and problem areas.
You will also be asked to complete a standardized mental health assessment that identifies a range of clinical issues as well as one targeted to your primary concerns. The purpose of this is to get an idea of how your symptoms compare to other individuals your age. If the data collected supports an anxiety-spectrum disorder, a diagnosis will be made. You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations.
Assessment results can potentially be used to obtain IEP or 504 accommodations as well as other supports at school. If you would like to pursue a full psychological evaluation, the fee paid for the diagnostic assessment will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the diagnostic assessment appointment). You will only be charged the difference.

Our clinical diagnostic assessments include potential markers for depressive- and bipolar- spectrum disorders including major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), bipolar I and bipolar II disorder, and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD). During a 60-minute video appointment, we will conduct a clinical interview to gain more information on your symptoms and problem areas.
You will also be asked to complete a standardized mental health assessment that identifies a range of clinical issues as well as one targeted to your primary concerns. The purpose of this is to get an idea of how your symptoms compare to other individuals your age. If the data collected supports a specific mental health disorder, a diagnosis will be made. You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations.
Assessment results can potentially be used to obtain IEP or 504 accommodations as well as other supports at school. You will also be asked to complete a standardized mental health assessment that identifies a range of clinical issues as well as one targeted to your primary concerns. The purpose of this is to get an idea of how your symptoms compare to other individuals your age. If the data collected supports a specific mental health disorder, a diagnosis will be made. You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations.
Assessment results can potentially be used to obtain IEP or 504 accommodations as well as other supports at school, depending on how the diagnosis impacts your child’s education. If you would like to pursue a full psychological evaluation, the fee paid for the diagnostic assessment will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the diagnostic assessment appointment). Our clinical diagnostic assessments include potential markers for personality, behavior, and impulse-control disorders including oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), conduct disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), and borderline personality disorder. During a 60-minute video appointment, we will conduct a clinical interview to gain more information on your symptoms and problem areas.
You will also be asked to complete a standardized mental health assessment that identifies a range of clinical issues as well as one targeted to your primary concerns. The purpose of this is to get an idea of how your symptoms compare to other individuals your age. If the data collected supports a specific mental health disorder, a diagnosis will be made. You will be provided with a brief summary of scores and recommendations.
Additional assessment is sometimes recommended if results are ambiguous or inconclusive. For example, behavioral concerns are sometimes suggestive of a learning disorder, which would require further assessment to rule out.
Assessment results can potentially be used to obtain IEP or 504 accommodations as well as other supports at school. If you would like to pursue a full psychological evaluation, the fee paid for the diagnostic assessment will be applied to the full evaluation fee (if scheduled within two months of the diagnostic assessment appointment). Testing

We offer psychoeducational evaluations for the purpose of identifying specific learning disabilities (SLD). Learning disorders such as dyslexia and dyscalculia are identified using a combination of cognitive and achievement testing, particularly assessments that measure processing speed, executive functioning, memory deficits, phonological processing, reading and writing skills, reading comprehension, and math computation and problem-solving skills.
After your 60 minute intake assessment, you or your child will participate in about 3-5 hours of testing at our Tampa office. Length of testing varies by what assessments are being used. Most students prefer to complete testing in one day, however we can break it in to smaller appointments as needed. Younger children usually complete testing at a faster pace than older teens and college students.
At the end of the evaluation, you will be provided with an extensive report detailing your scores and recommendations. A 40-minute video session is included to review the report and answer any questions you have about the diagnosis or recommendations.

While the term “processing disorder” is not an actual diagnosis in any field, it is commonly used to indicate problems with how an individual’s brain deals with incoming information. Information is entered into our brain in many ways including through sensory-motor, visual, and auditory input. We offer psychological evaluations for the purpose of identifying dysfunction with any of these processing channels, which often interfere with educational functioning and concentration.
After your 60 minute intake assessment, you or your child will participate in about 1-3 hours of testing at our Tampa office. Length of testing varies by what assessments are being used. Younger children tend to complete testing at a faster pace than older teens and adults. We utilize a combination of cognitive processing tests that examine a range of processing abilities including measures of cognitive processing speed, visual-spatial processing, auditory processing, short-term working memory, and phonological processing.
At the end of the evaluation, you will be provided with an extensive report detailing your scores and future recommendations. A 40-minute video session is included to review the report and answer any questions you have about the diagnosis or recommendations.

Executive functioning (EF) delays can be complicated and difficult to pinpoint due to the overlap of EF symptoms in other disorders. EF abilities are found in the brain’s prefrontal cortex and are typically not fully developed until age 25, which is partially why teenage years are associated with risky and impulsive behaviors. Children and teens with ADHD often have delayed EF abilities when compared to their peers.
Our psychological evaluations can be used to assess if an individual’s executive functioning abilities are typical or delayed for their age. When these assessments are interpreted with other data such as standardized cognitive assessments and attention/behavior rating scales, we can better determine the nature executive functioning has on an individual’s problems. There is no official diagnosis for “executive function disorder”. EF assessments are typically administered in evaluations examining related areas such as SLD, ADHD, and processing disorders.

We offer cognitive/IQ testing for children applying to specialized schools or gifted programs. Intelligence testing can also be conducted on adults depending on the reason for referral (Mensa, employment requirement, etc.).
Testing is held at our Tampa office. Please plan to be in the office for 2 to 3 hours. While all of the time may not be needed, we want to make sure your child has the opportunity to take breaks or work at a slower pace without feeling rushed. We also reserve time at the end to discuss the results and answer questions. Reports are completed within one week of testing.
